When you search for images of Triple Falls the first thing that strikes you is how alike they are. There is a good reason for that --- very steep slopes, robust forest and limited angles. In fact there really is only one angle available in front, and it has a well worn path to THE SPOT. Not exactly exciting.
This is a view from 180 degrees in the opposite direction, above the left-most fork of the falls looking down on a smaller stream cascade coming from the side. The weather was miserable and I was soaking wet and freezing cold after having spent the past 4 hours in the rain, in fruitless pursuits of all sorts of smaller side streams.
P.S. Still have quite a few good Patagonia images, but decided on something different this week. Thank you for the comments and favs, they mean a lot even when I don't respond directly.
amazing comp! have truly made this spot a whole new world..surreal even. havent been to Triple Falls for many years but dont think i would have realized this was it if i was there yesterday! fantastic work Groovy
Such a gripping image my friend. The composition is unlike anything I have seen before. I applaud your willingness to get this shot, I'm certain it was no walk in the park! Beautiful depth, color, and clarity. I would go so far as to say DD worthy. Nice work.
