The weather forecast for the morning was lousy and largely accurate. A few minutes before sunrise the whole area was draped in fog and light but steady drizzle. Suddenly the fog started to pull out and the light show began.

I like how well balanced this photo.
Smooth blues and whites contrast nicely with the jagged oranges and greys.

As someone who makes a living doing this, you know how few and far between these moments are. You wake up at a god-awful hour, get rained on for an hour or two, and just when you are ready to call it a day - boom, a crack opens on the Eastern horizon and you forget about the days/weeks of frustration when nothing happened.
