Sunset on the Tatoosh Range as seen from the Mazama Ridge, Rainier NP
Just returned from four days on Rainier. This image shows about as much clouds as I ever saw, and even these had dissipated 30 mins later. Each and every sunrise and sunset was about as bland as can be... relatively speaking, the mountain itself is enough of a sight to make it worthwhile even if it basically sucks photographically. The flowers were extremely late this year, Paradise and Van Trump had some good patches. The lower elevations at Sunrise were plastered, though. Just to rub it in, as I was driving down the mountain this morning clouds started gathering. Gotta work for a living tomorrow, though, maybe next year.
