Smoking Cuernos by GroovyGeek Smoking Cuernos by GroovyGeek
Just returned from a 10-day trip to Patagonia. Had a blast, and the sights were unforgettable.

Beautiful shot, That light is tremendous. I don't think you could get bad images from this location, definitely at the top of my "must see" places.

Actually it can be quite ho-hum photographically speaking when the sky is grey (which it is most of the time, I am told). Agrentinian Patagonia is, IMO, more impressive under any light.

Yeah, I have heard about photographers who go there for weeks on end with nothing but clouds over the peaks. I'd just like to explore that region in general, very different landscape.

If I had the money and vacation time I would go back right now. It was PAINFUL to be at work the first week after I came back, I had this weird feeling of not belonging there, which I have never had before.

It was fantastic, light was between so-so and decent most of the time, but the last morning was terrific. Even without the light just seeing the place is worth it, and the instructors (Ian Plant and Richard Bernabe) were great too. Do check out Ian's image [link] from 10 minutes and a bit to the left of this location.

No Photoshop magic here, this is really what it looked like. The light filtered through the clouds and the fog, and when the sun rose above the horizon everything turned to "Rembrandt" colors. I have more shots from this location 10 minutes earlier that look very different, will post them soon. Thanks for the watch!

I just started getting into photography in September, and every time I see a piece like this it blows my mind.
My pleasure, if I take away anything from your work it'll be helpful.
